Holy Spirit Catholic School Division offers Kindergarten Programs for children aged 5 on or before December 31st of the current school year. The program follows the curriculum developed by Alberta Education and is based on the following beliefs:
- Children develop at different rates, and kindergarten provides learning experiences that meet individual needs.
- Young children are naturally curious and eager to learn, and they benefit from developing positive relationships with others, including children of their own age.
- Parents are the first and most important teachers of their children.
Kindergarten employs theme exploration, learning centers, field trips, and manipulative materials to allow children to develop age-appropriate skills and concepts.
